Have you ever felt consistently stressed out? Sadly, chronic stress is a common side effect of being human in the modern world. But as ordinary as it may seem, chronic stress isn’t exactly natural.

The primary purpose of the human stress response, or “fight or flight” response, is to help us survive times of real danger. The hormones you make when your stress response kicks in temporarily causes a number of physiological changes. They increase heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and blood sugars levels.
